Dette print købte jeg i 1995 hos "Thesaurus" - et antikvariat i St. Helier, Jersey.
Dear Mr Norgaard
The three prints have are all by Edwin Douglas.
One is called 'Jersey' (from the original picture in the possession of Joseph Kincaid Esq.) and is of a Milkmaid leading two cows, one each side of her, through a meadow in the spring.
One is called 'The Jersey Family' (from the original picture in the possession of the Publishers) and is of a group of 3 cows and a calf in a field by the sea - with a mallet and milk churn and clogs in the foreground and the back is a milkmaid seen milking one of the cows.
One is called 'Sark' (from the original picture in the possession of John Bruce) and is of a cow wearing a cowbell and a milkmaid carrying a milk churn standing in a meadow. The milkmaid is wearing a daisy in her button hole.
I hope that these descriptions will be of some help to you.
Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance.
